DAY 1: Hiking in the Basque Mountains
Visitors will feel the real Basque Country spirit in the mountains. Off the beaten track, you may come across a shepherd or a group of young people playing Basque Pelota on a village square … escape, take the back roads and head for discovery.
DAY 2: Flights in a powered paraglider in Socoa
The little road which leads you to the take-off site overlooking the corniche and the ocean is quite exquisite in itself! Once you are up in the air, a breath-taking view extends before your eyes. On one side the Atlantic Ocean, with the waves breaking on the shale rock cliffs, and to the other La Rhune Mountain is a focal point.
DAY 3: A surfing session in Hendaye
If you are about as comfortable with a surfboard as you are with a particle accelerator, then hesitate no longer: head for the beach at Hendaye for a great session. It’s THE beach for beginners and here nobody looks at you strangely if you fail to take off. It is quite the opposite, everybody encourages each other and envies the person who manages to stand up on their board, the instructors give plenty of good advice and as a reward you can savour some very nice ice cream!
